With road works still effecting the Plungar time trial course the  Wymondham circuit was used as an alternative. For a change dry and still conditions greeted the riders for the race, James Ison continued to dominate Melton’s time trial season with yet another win in 21 minutes 13 seconds,

Marc Brealey produced a sesons best to come in second 23 minutes 13 secs, with Stuart Favar third in 23 mins 38 seconds,

Marc’s time was fast enough to take the win on handicap, Gary Ison again taking good points with second place, James Ison completing the handicap podium.


On saturday the highly competitive Team Bottrill open 10 mile time trial took place at Griffydam. James Ison was the fastest Melton rider, finishing in 22 mins 7 secs , a new course personal best for him, his time was good enough to take 6th overall.

Stuart Favar recorded the next best time from a Melton racer finishing in 23 mins 32 secs to take the win in his age category.

Gary Ison had  a disappointing ride as a reoccurring back injury effected his performance, finishing in 26 mins 36 secs.

The overall winner was David Mead setting a new course record of 20 mins 24 secs.
