The second evening time trial of the season was on the Plungar 10 mile circuit, with even worse conditions than the previous week. Heavy rain and a cold night meant that fast times not possible, Winner on the night was Mick Stevens 2nd place went to Chris Schofield, with Andrew Keightley in 3rd. Their times were good enough to take the same positions with Handicaps applied. Thanks to Bill Stanley for time keeping , Steve Jones, Bill and Tina Vetcher for Marshalling duties on a filthy night.
Gary and James Ison travelled to compete in the Hinckley mid week 10 mile time trial held at Wolvey course, Both Melton riders did themselves and the club proud with great times, James setting a new personal best of 21 mins 17 sec to take overall victory, and dad Gary came in 10th in 24 mins 51 sec
Bourne Wheelers staged there first big event of the season on Sunday 12th with 52 competitors racing on the 10 mile course at Sleaford. James Ison continued his great form to post 21mins 20 sec to take 2nd place overall, only missing first by 1 second. Gary came in at 24 54 to set his fastest time on this course.
Mick Stevens carried on his fine start to the racing season by competing in the BDCA association 25 mile time trial in wind and showery conditions he recorded a time of 57 mins 38 sec to set a new club age record and a personal best since his return to racing.
